This 5-day safari is perfectly planned to take in three of Tanzania’s most popular parks and conservancies on the Northern Circuit – the glimmering sparkle of Lake Manyara, the sheer vastness of the Serengeti, and the perception-defying wonder of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Each of the areas visited on this small but perfectly formed safari tour offer something different, yet equally beautiful and awe-inspiring. At Lake Manyara, you can take in the pure, unbridled natural beauty of the lake and it’s surrounds, perhaps even spotting a famous Manyara lion. The sight of one of these magnificent creatures lazing on bare tree-branches is something which can really only be experienced here! At the Serengeti, named for the Masai word “siringet”, meaning endless plain, you will marvel at the plains stretching on and on, and finally understand just why this is the world’s most famous wildlife sanctuary. Your final days will be spent in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A game drive on the bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater is a singular and breathtaking experience, as you descend the 2000ft high walls to find a veritable wonderland of lush greenery and wandering game.

A place to rest, recuperate and soak up the atmosphere

Kirurumu Tented Camp is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful surrounds of Lake Manyara. It is set upon the edge of the Great Rift Valley with panoramic views over the lake. Here, you will eat well, sleep well and enjoy your warm welcome before continuing on your safari adventure.

At the Serengeti you will spend two fabulous nights at the Mapito Tented Camp. Make an en route stop at the Olduvai Museum, dedicated to famous anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey, who made many important discoveries on the origins of human kind at the nearby Olduvai Gorge
Stop for a picnic lunch, before moving further into the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive

After breakfast proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for an amazing game drive
Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a little luck the "Big Five" may even be spotted on just one game drive
Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 5: Ngorongoro - Arusha

Bed and Breakfast

Make an exciting guided walk at the rim of the crater, escorted by a ranger or Masai guide.
Transfer to Arusha for your onward travel
