Classic Safari

Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Tarangire are three perpetually popular choices for the discerning safari-goer, and once you’ve visited each place, you’ll certainly understand why.

Lake Manyara is a beautiful corner of the world.  On your game drives here and in the surrounding area, you will see the dense forests of giant fig and mahogany trees, the lush vegetation and of course the lake itself.  Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and various antelope inhabit this park, along with the famous tree-climbing Manyara lions – if you’re lucky you might spot one!

You will spend two days at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.  Not only will you take a fantastic full-day game drive on the crater bottom, you will also go on an exciting guided walk on the crater rim, getting you even closer to the sights and sounds of this wonderful part of the world.

Your safari will end at Tarangire, renowned for the majestic baobab trees which pepper the landscape, and the huge herds of free-ranging elephants which traverse the plains.  A great diversity of other wild creatures can also be found here, including lion, leopard and cheetah.

Classic Safari

The Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is a truly lovely place to stay.  The most striking aspect of the lodge is without doubt the fabulous infinity pool, which seems to simply drop off the horizon into the wilderness below!  Enjoying a dip here in the afternoon sun, appreciating the amazing view which extends out below you, is a really singular safari experience.

The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, meanwhile, offers a spectacular view of its own - that of the Ngorongoro Crater from above.  This lodge perches on the edge of the crater rim and, sitting on the eastern side, has the advantage of sunset views each evening.  Imagine relaxing with a hot coffee or ice cold beer and watching the sun sink over the crater!

Finally, the Tarangire Safari Lodge, built atop a high bluff with breathtaking panoramic views, is the perfect base from which to enjoy the wonders of Tarangire.  The luxury tents provide an authentic "safari-under-canvas" experience, as well as a range of activities such as bird watching, and uninterrupted plains views from the open-sided dining room.
