Adventure, Activity and Atmosphere
After 5 days of exploration and wildlife viewing on Tanzania’s northern circuit, your beach extension will be spent in Bwejuu on the east cost of Zanzibar, where you’ll discover stunning beaches, a laid-back pace of life and some of the best kite surfing in the world.
The national parks and conservation areas of northern Tanzania constitute some of the most beautiful, pristine and rugged wilderness in the whole of Africa. Each experience here will be quintessentially African, from the silhouette of stoic baobabs, black against the blazing sunset of Tarangire, to the sheer wonder of the Serengeti, and finally Africa’s own Eden, an impossibly lush wildlife haven – the Ngorongoro Crater.
On Zanzibar’s east coast, meanwhile, you will while away the days and nights enjoying balmy breezes on huge, open beaches of fine white sand, mottled with the shade of a swaying coconut palm, leading into an endless, turquoise ocean. Whether by the sparkle of the midday sun or the glint of a full moon, these beaches are undeniably stunning.
Paje’s position on the eastern coast of Zanzibar means that the daytime winds are ideal for kite surfing. This, combined with the shallow waters and soft sands, makes for optimum kite surfing conditions virtually all the time. Kite Centre Zanzibar – one of the island’s premier kite surfing centres – operate all along the east coast and offer introductory and full beginner's courses, along with equipment rental for more experienced kiters. We’ve created this safari especially for kiters and people with a sense of adventure – don’t let the chance to kite on this amazing Indian Ocean island pass you by.
Great food, great views, a hot shower and a warm bed
With this special safari tour we have shifted the emphasis away from luxury accommodations, choosing instead to focus on charming and quaint lodges and camps, tucked away in quiet corners, where you can eat a hearty meal, take a hot shower and climb into a comfortable bed after an adventurous yet tiring day on safari, so that you’re rested and ready to do it all again in the morning.
Bellevue Guesthouse in Bwejuu is the first choice for relaxed and independent travellers who need just a few things from their beach accommodation – hot food, a warm bed, a cool breeze and a cold beer. In addition to this, at Bellevue the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is fresh and delicious, the hosts are friendly and hospitable, the drinks are always served chilled and the breeze is free – drifting in through the gauzed windows. The stunning beach is just 50 metres away.
