Rare Creatures in a Spectacular Setting
With a tour like this, you'll surely take in virtually every kind of landscape and terrain Kenya has to offer; from the tranquil foothills of Mount Kenya, to Nakuru's alkaline lake with a thousand flamingo, to the fresh water of Lake Naivasha, and finally the wide open plains of the Masai Mara.
From your first lunch at the famous Treetops Lodge to your last game drive on the Masai Mara, everything you do on this tour will be a singular and exciting wildlife viewing experience. Mount Kenya National Park is renowned for its cool, tranquil atmosphere, and is the perfect habitat for elephant and buffalo. The Treetops Lodge, where you'll spend your first night, boasts photographic hides and extensive viewing decks perfect for spotting rhinos, bucks and even lions.
You'll spend your next two days around two of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya - Nakuru and Naivasha. Lake Nakuru is famous for being the home of thousands or even millions of flamingos who gather to consume the blue-green algae so prevalent in this alkaline lake, literally turning the shoreline pink. The fresh waters of Lake Naivasha, meanwhile, draw birds of prey and Great White Pelicans to feast on fish. You'll never forget the haunting call of a fish eagle swooping from the treetops for an early-morning fish.
Your final days, spent in the Masai Mara, will be the ultimate opportunity to spot the "Big Five" - lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and buffalo.
Relaxation and Comfort
You will overnight in luxury accommodation throughout, so that between photographing an elephant at Aberdare or a lazy hippo in Lake Naivasha, you can unwind with a dip in the pool, or simply get a good night's rest before the next exciting day. The Mount Kenya Serena Lodge is a particular delight with its viewing deck, photographic hide and canopy-level dining room. The Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, meanwhile, boasts stunning views from each and every guest room and maintains the level of style and comfort you'd expect from any Sarova establishment. The Naivasha Sopa Lodge is a hospitable, comfortable and stylish establishment, with spacious guest rooms set out in cozy cottages, from which you might spot a giraffe, gazelle or even a passing hippo! The Mara Serena Safari Lodge is set out in little round cottages, inspired by Masai villages, and the decor features exuberant bush colours and the highest quality furnishings.
