Truly a holiday of a lifetime
This special tour combines city culture, wildlife viewing and total rest and relaxation. You'll see each side Kenya has to offer, from the buzz of its capital city, to the phenomenal wildlife in three different reserves, to the white sandy beaches of Mombasa. After your first day in Kenya, spent either relaxing or taking an exciting city tour, your wildlife journey will really begin. After lunching in the beautiful grounds of the famous Outspan hotel in Mount Kenya National Park, you'll overnight in the Treetops Lodge - with waterhole views and photofgraphic hides, it's a veritable haven for game-viewing enthusiasts.
The next few days will be spent in the breathtaking Lake Nakuru National Park - home to the thousands of fabulous flamingos for which this park is particularly famous. In your full days of game viewing and excursions, keep your eyes peeled for gambolling baboons on baboon cliff, a lazing leopard in a tree or even a black rhino browsing in the bushes!
Visiting the famous Masai Mara National Reserve is the ultimate way to finish your safari adventure. Not only will you journey amongst the "Big Five", you will also have the opportunity to visit the famous Mara River or even a local town.
After such an active week, you'll then spend another completely at your leisure. Whether winding down on one of Mombasa's sandy beaches, having a spa treatment or trying out one of the many watersports on offer, you'll surely find plenty to do (or not do!) during your last week in Kenya.
From a lodge in the mountains to a resort on the beach...
The Stanley Hotel is a beacon of luxury, attentive care and attention to detail in the centre of Kenya's capital. With a large pool, multiple dining options and a wonderful night's rest in one of the elegant guest rooms, you'll be ready to start your wildlife adventure. The Mount Kenya Serena Mountain Lodge, sitting on stilts at tree canopy level, offers a viewing deck over a saltlick and a photographic hide for optimum wildlife viewing - the focus here really is on wildlife and nature. The Lion Hill Lodge offers the kind of luxury and high-standards you would expect at any Sarova establishment, and Keekorok Lodge is the perfect base in the heart of the Masai Mara. Winding up at the Whitesands Resort in Mombasa, you can spend your last week dining in one of the many restaurants, swimming in one of five pools, learning to dive, eating Italian ice creams, playing volleyball, snorkelling...or simply sunning yourself on Mombasa's white sands.
This private tour is completely customisable - you can change the duration, where you visit and the hotels you stay in - just let us know what you'd like to change when you get in touch with us.
