Taita Hills Lodge

Right in the heart of the 28,000 acre private conservancy of Taita Hills lies the exclusive Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge.  The lodge itself is not fenced, meaning gazelle and elephants are often spotted emerging from the woodlands of the rolling savannah and wandering into the grounds. 

The lodge boasts 60 beautiful guest rooms plus 2 suites, all of which feature private balconies with views of either the Taita Hills or the beautiful gardens and surrounding conservancy.  All guest rooms feature well-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers and WC, and are equipped with either double, twin or triple beds.  Each is elegantly furnished, from the fine linens to the soft furnishings in your spacious sitting.  Each suite is one bedroom, with separate lounge area and well-appointed bathroom.

Taita Hills Game Lodge has it's own private herb and vegetable garden, helping to ensure each dining experience here is as fresh and delicious as the next.  The Chala restaurant serves a buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, all featuring live cooking counters where speciality dishes can be prepared.  The salad buffet compliments lunch and dinner, and the dessert buffet always feature a range of tempting desserts.  The lodge also has a well stocked bar, The Lobby Bar, which is a lovely place to enjoy a nightcap or an afternoon coffee.

Champagne breakfasts and bush dinners including sundowner cocktails can be arranged upon request for an additional cost, and picnic hampers can be prepared for your longer game drives.

Activities at the lodge include game drives (including a visit to a nearby salt lick where myriad animals congregate,) nature walks with a guided ranger, excursions to a local village and wildlife talks at the lodge.  These wildlife talks are perfect for youngsterx, who will also love the free form swimming pool, taking part in the nature walks (escorted by specially trained staff) and playing with the board games.
