Location: Diani Beach

The Sands at Nomad was Diani's first boutique hotel, meaning it offers all of the water-sport activities, luxury facilities and elegant comfort without the impersonality of a large resort. Here, you can go whale-shark spotting at the immediately adjacent diving school, marvel at the futuristic design of the 5 metre deep swimming pool with “floating” pagoda, enjoy fresh fruit, seafood, coffees and cocktails at one of the dining establishments, and retire to one of the individually designed guest rooms.

Opened in 2005, The Sands at Nomad comprises of 18 guest rooms, 7 exclusive beach cottages and 3 luxurious suites, all with differing facilities. The guest rooms enjoy AC, satellite television, integrated entertainment system and 24-hour room service. In addition, the 7 beach cottages enjoy uninterrupted ocean and sand views. The three luxury suites – Peponi, Mbuyu and Mbega – all come with slightly differing facilities, such terrace with Jacuzzi, crystal pool with waterfall or spectacular forest and sea views.

You can choose to be as active or inactive as you wish at The Sands at Nomad. For true relaxation and pampering, choose the Forest Breeze centre, offering professional massages, facials, pedicures and manicures and exotic body scrubs. Reception staff can organise visits to marine parks, the nearby Shimba Hills National Park or nature and botanical tours. The hotel can also offer immediate access to Padi five-star diving centre Diving the Crab, which offers diving courses, wreck exploration and whale-shark spotting.
