Samburu Ashnil Camp

The Ashnil Samburu Camp provides luxurious accommodation in 24 deluxe tents, each of which provide stunning views onto the Ewaso Ngiro River.  Located within the Buffalo Springs Reserve, this camp is a refuge and oasis in the middle of the African wilderness.

Facilities at this camp are elegant, modern and practical.  Each tent is equipped with a dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack and en suite bathroom facilities.  The main guest area is shaded by tall acacia trees, and guests can take advantage of the lounge area, bar and veranda with river view.  The bar is tastefully decorated in a simple and elegant way with an African twist, and is a lovely place to spot wildlife whilst enjoying a fine wine or imported beer.

The restaurant is also situated in the main guest area, and provides buffet-style meal service with a variety of international dishes including oriental and African.  Bush breakfasts can also be arranged, as well as picnic lunch boxes which can be taken on day excursions.

This camp also offers a lovely outdoor swimming pool, a lovely place to cool down after a hot game drive, as well as a very rare feature for a camp. 

Activities in the camp include full or half-day game drives (this reserve is home to the Big Five, after all,) sundowner cocktails overlooking the Ewaso Ngiro River, guided nature walks and bird-watching, and Samburu cultural talks and dancing in the evening.
