Location: Lake Naivasha

Located 100kms from Nairobi or just over an hour on tarmac roads and situated at Lake Naivasha’s southern shoreline in Africa’s Great Rift Valley, this beautiful resort is the perfect place for a safari in the breathtaking surrounding landscape. The famous Hell's Gate National Park, famous for offering walking safaris, is also easily accessible.

Lake Naivasha is host to a variety of game including buffalo, giraffe and the elusive black faced colobus monkey. The Lake itself is special in that it is freshwater, making it a great place to spot the birds of prey who come to feed on the fish. Many hippos can be seen lazing in the waters on the northern shore, and during the night they come into the lodge grounds.

There are 84 rooms in total in the lodge, spread across 21 double-storied cottages. The cottages are set amongst cacti and rock gardens with brightly coloured flowers. Each ground floor room boasts two queen-size beds and a solarium with private terrace. The first floor rooms have one king-size bed and a balcony. All rooms have hair dryers and all the amenities of a luxury 5 star hotel.

The Main Restaurant serves a combination of European, African and Asian dishes, all prepared using fresh produce. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. For a lighter snack during the day, there is a poolside bar with an a la carte menu and a pizzeria. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners can be arranged in the bush, with champagne if desired!

"Amazing hotel with an almost safari experience!!"

Perfect! Lake Naivasha is practically at the edge of the lodge. With hippos galore!(only thing is that you cant be there after dark- because the hippos can be dangerous) Hells Gate is about 10-15 mins away

Rooms
Perfect! provide you with everything you need. They are either king size or 2 double beds. No mosquito nets were provided, but they werent really needed.Whether your up on the first floor or ground floor you get a perfect view of the grounds where giraffes, zebras, antelopes roam day and night!

Good Food, Buffet Style, excellent service!

Prices vary. peak season expect to pay $240-$320 a night! but its worth it!

"AMAZING!"

The location was amazing with zebras and giraffes in the garden and an amazing walk down to the lake where we saw flamingos and hippoes. We even had a giraffe eating from our balcony at 2.30am in the morning which was so exciting.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and took us hippo stalking at night. The food was very good and rooms spacious. Beautiful swimming pool. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Being able to get so close to the animals was a real bous and totally unexpected!

"...overall value was great..."

We really enjoyed our time at this lodge and therefore would have to say the overall value was great. We enjoyed walking around the large hotel grounds and the wildlife that visited them. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely go back again should we find ourselves in Kenya.
