Mbweha Camp

Location: Lake Nakuru

Nestling in the vast and spectacular grounds of the 64,000 acre Congreve Conservancy, tucked against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park, lies the Mbweha Camp.  

Each of Mbweha's 10 cottages is built of lava stone with thatched makuti roofing, and each is sheltered by candelabra euphorbia and yellow-barked acacia.  As you lie in a canopied bed a night,gazing at branches from the window and listen to the distant roar of a night-prowling lion, you'll certainly feel you're in the heart of Africa's exciting wilderness.

One of the main advantages of the camp's location in a private conservancy is that guests here have to opportunity to take guided bush walks and night-time game drives, both of which are particularly exhilarating wildlife experiences.  You even have the opportunity to arrange a hot air balloon safari over the Great Rift Valley and its spectacular freshwater and soda lakes.
