Reviews & Testimonials of Mara Serena Safari Lodge
"Amazing Views"
We stayed for two nights at this lodge and it was fantastic. The room itself was great, it was a really good size with a king size bed and a mosquito net. The bathroom was also a really good size and had everything we needed. The view from the room was to die for, it looked out over the Masai Mara. We had a thunder storm whilst we were here and it was great to watch the lightening over the plains.
The food was served by the waiter at this lodge but you could also chose the buffet if you prefered. The food was nice enough and there was a fairly good choice for brekfast, lunch and dinner. The entertainment at the lodge was a guy playing his guitar and singing, it was good fun. We did not spend that much time at the lodge as we did not arrive until 7pm on the first night after lunch by the Mara river and a game drive and we did a whole day game drive the following day from 06.30am until 7pm. Breakfast was served aroung 8.45 and was again next to the Mara river with the Hippo's.
The game drives in the Masai Mara were outstanding, we saw the big 5 and much more including some Lion cubs which were about two months old. This was by far my favorite location on the Safari and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

"Outstanding Location"
We stayed here for 2 nights and wish it had been longer. Everything about it is fantastic. The views from our room were to die for, it seems the same from all the rooms because it is designed so cleverly. The room was spotless, the bathroom gorgeous, especially when you think that you are in the middle of the Masai Mara! We did the balloon flight from Governors Camp, not the one which you can book at the reception area at the hotel, and it was fantastic from start to finish.
It was the highlight of our holiday, views were breathtaking and a champagne breakfast in the Mara was the icing on the cake. We booked all of our safari with Neo Destinations, so a big thank you to Naphtally. Every single detail of our trip was planned and executed with professionalism and care and we could not have been happier with the service he provided. We would not hesitate to recommend Naphtally and his company to anyone.
He arranged for us to go to the Serena, and what a fantastic choice it was! Some of the best soup I have ever eaten, especially the Red Kidney Bean one. Charles was outstanding as the waiter around the pool, just a shame the pool was so cold! If you are thinking of going to the Serena, just stop thinking and go, you will not regret it!
