At Kutazama, you will marvel at the panoramic views of the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary, be amazed by the blazing colours of each and every sunset, revel in the sights and scents of the landscaped gardens and delight in the soft brush of a tropical butterfly...not to mention sleep deeply and soundly in the comfort of a large four-poster bed!

Nestling on he Shimba Hills, Kutazama is one place where you can relax your mind and free your senses, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the uninterrupted views.  With only two suites, this lodge is truly tranquil and supremely exclusive.  

The Frangipani Suite consists of a large double bedroom with French doors opening onto raised decking area, which in turn leads into a private lounge and spacious veranda.  Here, you can snooze on a sun lounger, enjoy the views and even take your meals.  The en suite bathroom is fitted with the highest quality fixtures, and a Jacuzzi awaits you on your totally private patio.

The Orchid Treehouse Villa boasts a beautiful double bedroom on the lower floor, complete with arched double doors and intricately carved bed.  French doors will lead you to your private Jacuzzi deck.  The open-fronted bathroom features a double shower with a breathtaking view, along with twin vanity sinks and all other top-quality fixtures and fittings.  On the upper deck you will find the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge leading to sun terrace – a great place to spot local birds hiding in the shade of the huge, canopied Ficus tree. This villa comes with your own personal butler and chef.

The outdoor swimming pool is large and two-tiered, set under a 30ft high cliff which runs the length of the pool, and a small waterfall plunges into the upper pool.  In the afternoon the barbecue can be used for al fresco dining, and at night the atmospheric pool lighting makes a late dip particularly enjoyable.

The hotel can take guests on personal safaris into the Shimba Hills Reserve and the Mwaluganje elephant sanctuary, as well as walking safaris to the Chitsanze Waterfalls.  Cultural excursions can be taken to the local villages of Digo and Duruma communities.
