Diani House

Describing itself as a guest house, Diani House aims for unsurpassed hospitality and an atmosphere in which all guests can simply relax and feel entirely at home.  It is a delightful establishment which maintains its charm without compromising on modern comforts.

Diani House can accommodate a maxiumum of twelve guests.  In the main house there are four double/twin en suite guest rooms, along with a two-bedroomed cottage, separate from the other house, which is suitable for a family or honeymooners.  All guest rooms have verandas with direct garden access and views of the beach and ocean.  The décor is simple, with whitewashed walls beautifully offsetting comfortable Swahili furniture from Zanzibar and Lamu.  

The beautiful gardens at Diani House are a hive of activity for small wildlife including bush babies, bush buck, suni antelope and black-and-white colobus monkeys.  The gardens also have 250 metres of beach frontage onto absolutely stunning white sands and blue waters.

Dining at Diani House is usually an al fresco affair on the front veranda, with a strong emphasis on seafood caught fresh each day.  Produce used is generally local, and all food is home-cooked to order to a very high standard.  

Activities available in the local area include swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, bird watching, beach walks, and visits to nearby rock pools and local markets.  Slightly further afield, you could try a day trip to the fascinating town of Mombasa.  A trip to Shimba Hills can even be arranged with overnight stay at a local camp.
