Asha Cottage is one of the most well-loved B&Bs in Diani – and for good reason. This family-run boutique hotel boasts seclusion, comfort, luxury and an unwavering dedication to responsible tourism.

With only 5 guest rooms at this establishment, you are sure to appreciate that personal touch. Each room is tastefully decorated using an eclectic mix of African artefacts, bold fabrics, European art and Swahili-style furnishings, all off-set against a light and airy colour scheme. All rooms boast king-size beds with mosquito netting, en suite bathroom facilities, air conditioning, ceiling fans and insect-proofed windows.

The communal areas are equally delightful. There is a lovely open veranda which serves as a common entrance and lounge area, where guests can spend a few moments enjoying the ocean view. There is also a one-of-a-kind air-conditional snooker room, which boasts a half-size snooker table, a card table suitable for playing poker or other games, and a darts board. There is also a selection of books and board games.

Breakfast at Asha Cottage is continental, with a variety of home-made breads and cakes, jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffees and teas. If desired, guests can take lunch at The Ledge, where an affordable variety of soups, sandwiches and salads are available daily. Dinner is a set menu with a selection of starters, a fish, meat or vegetarian main and a choice of dessert options which changes daily.

Activities at Asha Cottage tend to be based on or near the beach. Guests can take a trip on Asha's own small boat, go snorkelling at the reef, or simply swim in the lovely clear water. Nearby hotels and centres offer deep sea fishing and myriad water-sports. Guests can also enjoy swimming in Asha's beautiful fresh water pool, fringed with coconut palm for seclusion.

I really regret that we only booked to stay here for 2 nights. It was pure bliss. Dominique and John are great hosts and really make an effort to make you feel at home without cramping your style. The rest of the staff is always there if anything is needed. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the food is amazing. This is a five star experience at an affordable price.

"Wonderful Honeymoon Location"

We had the most relaxing time at Asha Cottage. The luxury accomodation was beautiful, as was the view from our room. We spent a lot of time in the pool and enjoyed lying by the side of the pool. The owners were very friendly as were the rest of the staff and they could not do enough for you. The food was amazing! We had no need to eat elsewhere along the beach as the menu is varied with lots of choice.
