Dining at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge takes place in the Kibo Restaurant, named after Mount Kilimanjaro's tallest peak. It is a delightful round construction with an authentic thatched roof. There is a central fireplace, which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view of the mountain right out the window. The colour scheme is red, mustard and brown, lending the place a warm, bush-like ambience.

"What a View"
The roads from Nairobi to this lodge are a little rough not all tarmac,we entered the Amboseli National Park and after an hour or so in the park we reached the lodge. We were met by Sami a Masai who stood about 6'6" with a big grin some cold drinks and cold flannels.Room was clean, big bed and a big shower and take note of when the electricity is on, the hotel is run on generators, so no lights in your room after about midnight, but they do provide a torch candles and matches.
Food was good and on our first night at dinner an elephant appeared on the other side of the small wall at the end of the patio, this caused a bit of excitement.Beer and Wine were 300 KS not bad really considering you can't go anywhere else.
I did the 2 hour nature walk in the bush and would recommend this.
Breakfast is really all about the "Big Hill" what a view and plenty of choice,
Rather than go and on I would agree with earlier reviews that have given a rating of Very Good.
