Reviews & Testimonials of Aberdares Country Club
"aberdare country club is tip top accommodation,i cant fault it"
arrived there in the dark ,after a long days driving , and was treated like a king ,the staff just couldn't do enough for us ,they also gave us useful advice on aberdare nat. park, eg useful phone numbers , entry details etc , they were very sincere."Amazing Location! Great Ambience and Luxury.."
This resort is out of nowhere. It is a private forest owned by the owners of Aberdare Country Club. Sightings are amazing and the experience is unique. The whole siting area is made of glass and above the animals coming in for salt-lick. It could be that the salt-lick is artificial, but then it still works. The rooms are a bit small, naturally because of the type of the hotel. It is arc shaped and designed to give you a feel of your stay on a ship. the bahtrooms could have been bigger. Try not to stay near the stairs as old wooden stairs squeak through out the night. Take lots ot warm clothes. Its freezing with the chilly wind at night.
Try to get there early and go for a walk in the woods. Join the nature guide. Sit in the verandah outside and do some star-gazing late at night.
The only con about this hotel is the luggage barrier and transfer process from the country club to the hotel itself. Overall, would definately recoomend this hotel for its ambience. 1 night stay should be enough as there is nothing else to do here except relax, drink, and enjoy nature beyond our imagination.
Definately a better choice than sweetwaters. Vegetarians will not have a problem with the food.
